Arrow-down What makes PCGI different from other consulting companies?

Compensation based on a structure to maintain quality

PCGI is different from other consulting companies because we base every aspect of our internal compensation structure on the overall satisfaction of the client. The client’s needs are directly tied to multiple layers of unbiased quality control within PCGI. All consulting company require five distinct roles in every consulting project engagement in order to ensure success; PCGI ties compensation to these roles. This compensation structure is key to understanding how we ensure the right fit for our clients and to our consultants. We know that every engagement is different and success is based on matching the needs of the client with a skilled consulting professional ready to meet those needs while adhering to a consistent and proven methodology. .show-hide

Arrow-down What is the PCGI structure and how does it ensure quality to our clients?

  • Client Manager
  • Project Manager
  • Consultant
  • Member Manager
  • Administration

For every consulting engagement, there are five distinct roles in order to ensure success. Although any one PCGI Member may participate in more than one role for a project, each distinct role needs to be fulfilled for each engagement, large or small. Each role is compensated by a percentage of the consultant’s billing rate, and each role provides checks and balances to ensure that the client is getting what they want.

First, there is the Client Manager. The Client Manager is a member of PCGI that intimately knows the client’s needs by developing a lasting relationship. The Client Manager does more than place a consultant with a client for one job; rather, the Client Manager becomes deeply knowledgeable about the client’s business, strategy, and company culture. This intimate knowledge allows the Client Manager to perfectly match PCGI resources to the client’s needs.

The Project Manager is the next role in the PCGI model and is responsible for maintaining a consistent project plan, working with the Client Manager to ensure that PCGI is meeting the client’s needs, and working with the consultant to deliver services per the requirements. PCGI uses a consistent and proven methodology to manage projects through the entire project life cycle.

The Consultant, the third role in the model, works with the client, the Project Manager and the Client Manager to meet project objectives.

Every member of PCGI has been invited by an existing member. As such, each member has their own Member Manager. The Member Manager is fourth part of the PCGI model, and the first level of quality checking, as every member of PCGI has someone that can attest to the quality of their invited members. The Member Manager serves the traditional role of “Recruiter”, but adds a layer of accountability rather than just the typical “Body Shop” approach to recruiting.

Administration via the PCGI site handles all of the Billing, Receivables, and Payables for the organization, and maintains a level of efficiency and therefore low overhead that larger firms can’t match.

Business Partners give PCGI more opportunities to meet the client needs

In addition to qualified independent consultants, PCGI has created partnerships with small consulting organizations. PCGI can then utilize these other contractors to ensure the highest quality service to the client, even if that means that part of a project is contracted outside of PCGI. It is ultimately our goal to provide the best possible consulting resources to our clients. We also work with consulting companies to provide resources for their clients. Any company that we work with has to adhere to our quality control structure. We partner with multiple consulting firms with a set percentage per each of the PCGI defined roles. Any business partners that establish a relationship with a client and PCGI resources retain their status as Client Manger and the client remains under the contract of that business partner. We believe that the most important thing is to provide the best possible resources to the client and the client is best served by partnering with a company and Client Manager that is truly looking out for their best interest, no matter who ultimately has the contract.
