PCGI has a variety of resources in various disciplines that can match the specific needs of the client with the best possible resources available anywhere
Why use PCGI rather than other consulting companies?
PCGI has the best consulting resources available at the lowest possible rates
Over the years, we have found that the very best consultants eventually leave their high-overhead consulting firms and go out on their own as independent consultants. As an independent, the individual has the potential to charge their clients less for their services while earning more. It becomes difficult, however for independents to find new consulting clients, manage projects, and it can be difficult to manage billing and accounting needs. By joining PCGI, individual consultants continue to enjoy and offer the benefits of independence, while under the umbrella of a consolidated company. For our clients, that means access to the very best consultants at the lowest possible rates with a structure that ensures even better quality and support than that of a traditional organization.
Many of our consultants have worked for the biggest names in the industry but found that they were carrying the burden of an organization with bloated overhead and overpaid executives. PCGI ties every cost directly to revenue as a percentage of billing, leaving no room for bloated overhead. That means that our clients pay the lowest possible rates while getting the most qualified individuals for their consulting needs.
How does the structure of PCGI ensure quality consulting to our Clients?
Quality Controls are built into everything we do and serve as a basis for our internal structure
Every consulting engagement, large or small, has five distinct roles. Each role provides a level of quality check to make sure that the client is getting what they want.
Our first quality check is our Client Manager. The Client Manager acts as the liaison between the client and the member consultants of PCGI. The Client Managers understand the client’s business needs, and assures that the client receives services for any necessary consultation. The client-Client Manager relationship is durable, so that clients always know who to turn to at PCGI, and the Client Manager can adeptly customize service to their client. As compensation, our Client Managers recieve a percentage of the billing rate over time, ensuring that the Client Manager stays with the project through its entire life cycle. This arrangement focuses on quality and comprehensive service to the client, rather than the sales-focused model followed by large firms.
The Project Manager is the second quality control standard. The Project Manager works with the client and Member Manager to ensure the use of standard and effective methodology to satisfy the project requirements. Although the project manager may not be on site, separating management of the project from the consulting service is key to maintaining unbiased quality controls. The Project Manger also receives a percent of the billing rate, thereby ensuring full project engagement. Even if one member takes on both the Consultant and Project Manager roles, each role has its own set of deliverables during the project.
The Consultant is the third quality check, as PCGI enlists some of the finest consultants in the industry. Due to PCGI’s unique ability to allow consultants to have all the benefits of independence, with the added benefits of membership in the Group, our consultants are not only excellent, but individually motivated to provide outstanding services to clients. As they are not assigned by a large entity, they only earn for services rendered, and they only take the projects that they know they can perform with excellence. No large firm can offer that guarantee of individual initiative or drive to their clients.
The Member Manager is the fourth way in which PCGI maintains consistent quality for the client. Each member is invited to join by consultants who have worked with them and can recommend their performance. By inviting a consultant to join PCGI, the exiting member agrees to be their Member Manager, and vouches for their abilities. The Member Manager becomes the virtual HR rep for whomever they invite into the group, and are compensated with a set percentage of anything that their member bills through PCGI.
Finally, each member of PCGI works through our proprietary administration site, which provides testimonials for each of our members and consistency in project methodology. It requires status updates, and serves as the hub for all time reporting with direct client access. Our clients can view every hour of work done on their projects, and they receive weekly status reports updating them on progress.
Why does PCGI create partnerships with other consulting companies?
Partners increase our ability to service our clients
PCGI has created partnerships with small consulting organizations to provide resources to, or pull resources from, those organizations per client requirements. We believe that the most important thing is to provide the best possible resources to the client and the client is best served by partnering with a Member Manager that is truly looking out for their best interest, no matter who ultimately has the contract. By partnering with other consulting companies in addition to the talented members of the group, we have greater access to qualified individuals; this ensures that PCGI is ready to meet any consultation need and provide excellent and comprehensive service to our clients. No matter who ultimately does the work, client satisfaction really is our primary goal.
